About ANE

The Academy of National Economy (ANE) under the Government of the Russian Federation was founded in 1977, and has since become one of the leading educational and research centers in the Russian Federation.

The structure of the Academy includes 16 departments and 3 research institutes. Three Academy of Science members, more than 120 doctors of sciences and about 250 candidates of sciences, as well as a number of well-known experts in various fields of activity teach and conduct research at ANE. All programs of ANE meet the state educational standards of the Russian Federation. Above it each of them passes the internal accreditation that promotes the improvement of teaching quality.

At present, the ANE is a multilevel scientific and education institution that provides higher education (B.A., Specialist, M.A.), additional professional education(М.В.А., D.B.A.), as well as courses of pre-college and postgraduate (postgraduate study, doctoral studies) education.

ANE is:

- The main partner of the Government of the Russian Federation in a Presidential Personnel Retraining Program (PMTI) for young managers and the leading institution for retraining and improving the professional skills of civil servants in the Russian Federation.

- A research center that carries out fundamental and applied research under orders of the Government of the Russian Federation, its various ministries and departments, subjects of the Russian Federation and the country’s largest businesses. ANE’s experts participate in the preparation of projects and the carrying out of scientific expertise of laws, state programs and draft projects.

- A study center for MBA programs, which leads Russia in the number of international МВА programs offered. ANE carries out professional training for up to 16 MBA programs, focusing on international cooperation with the U.S., the Great Britain, France, Germany and other countries. A number of programs of Academy are joint, having the international accreditation from leading international associations, such as AACSB (U.S.), АМВА (Great Britain) and EFMD (Western Europe).

ANE also offers educational programs which are analogous to such modern foreign programs like ЕМРА-Executive Master of Public Administration.

From the beginning of the 2006/07 academic year, ANE debuts a new interuniversity program: the double diploma. Graduates will receive two bachelor’s degrees: one in Economics from ANE, and one in Mathematics from Moscow Physics and Technology Institute.

ANE is a member of the Russian Association for Business Education (РАBО), the International Association for Development of Business Schools (AACSB), the European Association of Management Development (EFMD) and the Central and East European Association of Management Development (CEEMAN).
